Tune into Samsung at Cisco Live 2014

In what is sure to be a highly engaging event, Cisco Live 2014 will feature over 600 sessions for IT professionals and more than 200 exhibitors including Samsung Semiconductor.

Expecting 20,000 attendees from 3,900 companies, the largest Cisco-sponsored event of the year will be a critical sounding board on networking-related innovation, and a key indicator on where the market is headed with the advent of the Internet of Everything (IoE).

In one of the partner case study presentations (Session ID#: BRKPCS-2047;  May 19, at 10 a.m., Room South 302), I will discuss the keys to “Maximizing UCS Server Efficiency with Memory and SSDs.”  I will highlight how Green Memory and enterprise SSDs will help data centers with UCS-based infrastructure to obtain the best TCO results, by accelerating the speed of Cisco UCS servers, improving scalability, upgrading the quality of data center operations and reducing power consumption.

My co-presenter, Ram Appalaraju, vice president, Data Center Product Management and Marketing at Cisco will discuss how memory and storage, in conjunction with UCS Manager and the Cisco Virtual Interface Card, can help bring about the highest levels of UCS performance and quality.

In addition, Sylvie Kadivar, our senior director of strategic DRAM marketing, will deliver a condensed presentation on the advantages of Green memory and SSDs in a UCS environment in the Theater Solutions Showcase (Cisco Booth #1129) on May 21, at 3 pm.

Come and see us.  The Samsung Semiconductor booth will be buzzing with activities, including in-booth presentations from Cisco and IDT and our own experts focusing on advanced DRAM and SSD solutions (Booth #1813):

  • Cisco will be featuring improved performance in its B460 blade and C240 servers when using Samsung memory and SSDs.

  • Attendees can also view a DDR4 LRDIMM bandwidth demo. The demo will showcase a substantial improvement in bandwidth with DDR4 LRDIMM, compared to DDR3 LRDIMM, running memory bandwidth intensive workloads in x86-based enterprise server and cloud computing applications.
